This newspaper understands that someone was in the house at the time of the incident but it is unclear if the person sustained injuries.

Reports are that there was a loud sound apparently a signal that a beam had cracked. The house at this point was leaning resulting in the occupants starting to remove their belongings.

It is unclear what the man was doing under the house but a beam hit his head and he was pinned under the fallen structure.

Fire officials who turned up along with residents pulled the barely alive man from underneath the rubble.
