A woman is dead after she was stabbed in the heart allegedly by her reputed husband during a drunken quarrel at their Meten-Meer-Zorg, West Coast Demerara home, late this afternoon.
Confirmed dead is Radica Ramjattan said to be in her late 40s.
A senior police official told Stabroek News that the couple was consuming alcohol at their house when an argument erupted. It is unclear what sparked the altercation but Ramjattan was stabbed once to the heart.
Her reputed husband is presently in police custody.
Investigators are still at the scene conducting investigations.
