A 23–year-old D’Urban Street man was yesterday placed on $50,000 bail at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court after he was accused of  damage to property, threatening language, and assault at Potaro.

The allegation is that on August 26 at Potaro in the Essequibo District Garrvey Williams unlawfully damaged two Motorola cell phones valued $80,000. The prosecution had no objection to the man being granted bail. The court was informed that whenever the accused is in Georgetown his fixed  place of residence is Lot 61 D’Urban Street, Lodge.
