Three nabbed with guns as CANU razes ganja plants

Ranks from Customs Anti-Narcotics Unit (CANU) over the last two days destroyed a large quantity of marijuana plants in two fields on the West Bank Demerara, seized three shotguns and arrested three men.
According to Head of CANU James Singh the operations was conducted over Wednesday and Thursday in the backdam behind Wales. Singh said that 3,000 marijuana plants were discovered in various sizes and they were subsequently destroyed by the ranks. The three men were arrested in the fields and they along with the shotguns were handed over to the police.
They are expected to be charged shortly.
