(Jamaica Observer) Gunmen pounced on a tour operator as he travelled home with his three-year-old daughter in Norwood, St James and killed him before injuring the child yesterday.
He has been identified as 48-year-old Courtney Brown, tour operator of Norwood View in the parish.
Police report that Brown and his daughter were returning home in his white Nissan minibus, upon reaching his gate he was approached by two gunmen who opened fire, hitting both. He ran and was chased and shot several times.
When the police arrived Brown was found lying on his back in nearby bushes. He and his daughter were taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead and she was admitted in serious condition.
