A 20-year-old pedal cyclist on Tuesday midday lost his life, after he was struck down while attempting to cross the Timehri Public Road, East Bank Demerara.
Dead is Feliciano Clenkian known as “Shawn Hopkinson,” of Timehri Public Road, EBD.
According to police reports, enquiries disclosed that motor vehicle PMM 1817 was proceeding along the Timehri Public Road, when it is alleged that Clenkian attempted to cross the road from behind a parked car and was struck down. He was taken to the Diamond Diagnostic Centre, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Clenkian’s father Errol Clenkian revealed that a post-mortem examination will be done on his son’s body tomorrow.
The driver of the motor car is in police custody assisting with investigations.
