Technical fault causes lights out at Linden

It was lights out for residents of Linden last evening after the power station developed technical problems.

The entire town of Linden was plunged into darkness just after 9 pm and up to press time power had not yet been restored.

Manager of the Linden Electric Company Patrick Dublin told this newspaper that the generator sets in operation had tripped and that efforts were being made to correct the problem.

There was a similar occurrence some time last week which also caused a town-wide blackout this newspaper was informed.  Dublin said that the relevant authorities are looking for a long-term solution to the problem.
