The government feels that certain media houses are posing a threat to the holding of peaceful elections and intends to alert the United Nations on the matter, Presidential Advisor on Governance Gail Teixeira said last evening.
While not naming media houses, Teixeira also indicated that the administration will be calling for an independent investigation into the matter. Her statements were in response to a press release issued on Monday by the Guyana Press Association (GPA)
