The police today said that they are investigating a fatal accident that occurred at about 2110h. last night on the public road at Harlem, WCD, and which resulted in the death of pedestrian Vishnu Persaud, 65 years of Stanleytown, WBD.
Police say that investigations revealed that Persaud was allegedly attempting to cross the roadway when he was struck down by motor car HB 4356. He was taken to the WDRH where he succumbed while receiving medical treatment, police said.
The driver of the motor car is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
