The Police said that at about 1630h yesterday Ganesh Jodhan, 40 years of Richmond Housing Scheme, Essequibo Coast, was transporting paddy in a motor tractor/trailer when he lost control of the vehicle along the Hoff Van Aurich Public Road, Essequibo Coast.
The vehicle turned over into a trench and Jodhan was pinned below.
He was subsequently taken out and rushed to the Suddie Hospital where he was pronounced DOA, police said.
Investigations are ongoing.
