Female medical patients moved to new facility at Georgetown Hospital

Patients of the female medical ward at the Georgetown Hospital have been relocated to the New Inpatient Facility where there is a much more spacious and comfortable environment.

The hospital in a press release yesterday said that the move, which occurred on Sunday, took approximately three hours and all the patients were safely relocated to the new facility. The temporary Female Medical Ward was immediately dismantled and the area fumigated to allow for the relocation and expansion of the clinics, the release said adding that all unwanted materials were removed and subsequently destroyed.

The patients of the female surgical ward are expected to be relocated to the new facility during this week. The release sought to remind relatives of these patients that they will not be allowed to
