Unity farmer badly chopped, may lose hand

A Unity, East Coast Demerara farmer was brutally chopped about his body last evening at his home and is likely to lose his left hand which was left hanging from the wrist following the incident.

According to the wife of 47-year old Besham Oudho, she was travelling home from the city around 6:30 pm  when her  husband called her from their Lot 29, Unity home and stated that he wanted her to buy a box of food for him. She told this newspaper at the Georgetown Public Hospital last evening that shortly after, the man called a second time and stated that he was chopped about his body by a relative and that his hands were badly wounded.
