Missing trafficator leads to wounding charges

Acting Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry granted bail in the sums of $25,000 and $50,000 to two men charged with unlawful wounding when they yesterday appeared in the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court.

It is alleged that on October 23, Calvin Gulbert and Lloyd Daniels unlawfully wounded each other.

The court was told that Daniels drives a motorcar owned by Gulbert and on the said day he returned the car with a missing traffic indicator light and an argument ensued between them.

Both men then allegedly armed themselves with a knife and a bottle and started to fight, resulting in them both being wounded.

The court granted bail to Daniels in the sum of $25,000 and Gulbert in the sum of $50,000 and they were both placed on a bond to keep the peace.
The men were ordered to appear in court on Monday.
