GPHC relocates female surgical ward

The Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC) yesterday announced that all new admissions of female surgical patients will be warded in the new in-patient facility.

This follows the completion of the second phase of patient relocation into the new facility.

The GPHC’s Public Relations Office said the move commenced at around 1.30pm and a dozen patients from the Female Surgical Ward were safely relocated into the facility. They have joined the first set of patients who were relocated on October 16.

All the necessary staff, furniture and equipment have been stationed on the flat to ensure the continued provision of quality health care to the patients, GPHC said.

It added that the hospital management team thanked the relatives of those patients who were transferred for their cooperation during the move, and the staff for their diligence and hard work.
