Guyanese fisherman shot dead in Antigua

Guyanese fisherman, 34-year-old Mark Daniel, has been shot dead in Antigua.

According to yesterday’s Antigua Observer, Daniel was shot as he played draughts in a shop at Gray’s Farm.

Police said, according to the report, that a man wearing a white hoody entered the premises on Love Lace Road and shot Daniel.

Daniel was a father of three including a six-month-old, and was said to have lived in Antigua for more than 20 years. He was remembered by one friend as “a good guy, very generous.” His murder was the ninth for the year in Antigua.
