Jamaica police identify two of three men killed by mob

(Jamaica Observer) Two of the three men who were Thursday found hacked to death in Blackwood Terrace, Red Hills Road, Kingston were identified by the police yesterday.

They are 34-year-old Anthony Morgan, otherwise called ‘Greg’, of Mount James district in St Andrew and 33-year-old Graham Walters, otherwise called ‘Shorty’, of Federal Road, Kingston 8.

The third man, who is yet to be identified, appeared to be in his mid-20s, is of dark complexion, stout build and about 173 centimeters (5 feet 8 inches) tall. He was clad in a green tshirt, green short pants and a pair of white sneakers.

The police reported that about 8:00 Thursday morning the three men were travelling in a Toyota Rav4 in the area when residents heard explosions.

“The police were summoned and on their arrival they found Morgan, Walters and the other man with multiple stab and gunshot wounds. They were taken to the Kingston Public Hospital where they were pronounced dead,” the Constabulary Communication Network reported.

Police from the Major Investigations Task Force who were up to yesterday still probing the matter have decline to state possible motive behind the killings but sources in the area said the men were cut down by an angry mob who accused them of being car thieves.
