The Guyana Defence Force says it is investigating the circumstances under which one of its ranks was shot in his left leg whilst performing security duties at Air Corps, Timehri at around 21:40 hours yesterday.
The soldier is hospitalized at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation and is in a stable condition, the release said.
