The police say they are investigating a fatal accident that occurred at about 2130h last night at Borlam, Corentyne, and which resulted in the death of Raghua Mohamed, 23 years of Good Banana Land, East Canje, Berbice.
Investigations revealed that Mohamed was driving motor car PHH 7874 along the roadway with passenger Dhamain Winjagellum, 16 years of No. 1 Village, Corentyne, when he lost control of the vehicle which crashed.
Both persons suffered injuries and were taken to the New Amsterdam Hospital where Mohamed was pronounced DOA, while Winjagellum was treated and sent away.
