Good Hope boy knocked down

Richard Ramballie of 233 Good Hope, East Coast Demerara arrived at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC) in an unconscious state at around 6:25 pm where several x-rays were taken. He was then taken for a CT-Scan since it is suspected that he sustained head injuries.

The lad’s mother Debbie told Stabroek News that he goes to the gas station every week to buy kerosene for her and normally takes approximately half-hour to return home. She however said that when the lad failed to return home she became worried and she went in search of him.

The distraught woman explained that she took a bicycle and went to the gas station and asked if the lad was there and was told that he had left a while ago. She then went to the Betervwagting Police Station where she thought he would have been because the bicycle he was riding had no lights and was told about the accident. She immediately went to the GPHC.

The driver of the minibus was taken into custody.
