At about 2130h last night, the police say that ranks searched a man at Takaka Landing, Cuyuni River, in whose possession was found an unlicensed . 38 revolver with 3 matching rounds and 271 grams marijuana.
The force said he has been arrested and is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
Further, police say that at about 0400h. today, ranks conducted a search on a house at Puruni Landing, Cuyuni River, where they found an unlicensed 12-gauge shotgun with two cartridges, along with six .38 rounds, 115 grams marijuana and 13 grams suspected cocaine.
A man has been arrested and is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
