Ten persons sustained cuts and bruises after a Route 44 minibus and a car collided on the Turkeyen Public Road, on the East Coast of Demerara yesterday morning.
Those injured included the driver of the car Vickram Ajudhya, passenger Rick Singh, 22, as well as Sandria Jacobs, Alexis Jacobs, and Eon Fraser.
The accident occurred at about 11:20am, as the minibus, which was heading West along the public road collided with the car, which was about to turn into the adjoining University of Guyana road. The driver of the car, according to witnesses, failed to stop at the amber traffic light, thereby causing the collision.
