Bajans abroad to be tapped for job openings

(Barbados Nation) More Bajans living abroad may be offered key positions at home.

That’s because the Freundel Stuart administration plans to tap into the rich talent bank of the Barbadian diaspora when it is filling vacancies.

And as evidence of his administration’s intentions, Prime Minister Freundel Stuart cited the recent recruitment of Marston Gibson as the new Chief Justice and indicated that other offers would be made to members of the diaspora.

“You contribute greatly to the enrichment of Barbados by your financial remittances but also, and this is where the policy of my Government comes in now. I am going to ensure that you also contribute by your social remittances to Barbados.’ he said.
