6.0 magnitude quake hits near Costa Rica capital

SAN JOSE, Costa Rica, (Reuters) – An earthquake with  a magnitude of 6.0 hit Costa Rica yesterday, the U.S.  Geological Survey said, but there were no immediate reports of  injuries.
The quake was centred about 16 miles (25 km) west of the  capital city of San Jose at a depth of 43 miles (70 km).

There were no immediate reports of injuries from a Reuters  witness.
