GMR&SC should put on the brakes

Dear Editor,

If one is to go on the present statistics then it would be absolutely correct to deduce that something is mentally wrong with some of the members of the Guyana Motor Racing and Sports Club (GMR&SC). It seems as though that they cannot distinguish a normal traffic roadway from a racetrack.

From all reports it seems as though the deceased and maimed members were either speeding, illegally overtaking, drag racing or boring through traffic. This sort of irresponsible and reckless behaviour does not augur well for the club and its yet living and uninjured members.

They should invest in the services of a counsellor or seek the knowledgeable advice of stalwarts such as Pat Holder, Joey King or Kit Nascimento, not to mention the older Vieiras.
No one wants avoidable and unfortunate deaths so GMR&SC should put on the brakes, stop, then pull up its socks.

Yours faithfully,
Roger A Bhulai
