Dear Editor,
On September 1, the 37th Special Meeting of the Council for Trade and Economic Development was convened at the Caricom headquarters in Georgetown.
Ask the average Caribbean citizen what is COTED and what it stands for and they might very well tell you that it is just another Caribbean talk shop. They would not be very far from the truth. What has COTED done in 37 ‘Special Meetings’? What have they done at Ordinary Meetings? Where are the results?
This council should list its achievements and financial statements over the years so that the overburdened Caribbean taxpayers can assess how their hard earned taxable salaries are wasted on a few ‘intellectual‘ talkshoppers.
