Oasis Café tourney now Wednesday

Grounds Superintendent Mike Gayadin ruled the course unplayable after heavy showers left several sections of the course under water.

According to secretary of the LGC William Walker, the event is a team competition with members pairing up for 18 holes.

“The first nine the players will record their combined gross scores and on the back nine the best score of the two players on each hole will count, this will then be divided by their combined handicaps,” Walker said in explaining the format for the tournament.

It should add up to a lot of fun and proprietor of the Oasis Cafe, Nisa Walker says players will need to be not only hungry to win but also plain hungry as she is preparing some serious snacks and food for the tournament.

Tee off is at 09:00 hours Wednesday.
