Clear Victory halted by jockey’s broken leg

A representative of the RCMTC presents the winning I2 trophy to Miss Sherene Sooklall of the Crawford Stable.

Injury to jockey Paul Delph marred the Ryan Crawford Memorial Turf Club/Lions Club of Corriverton one-day horse race meet at the Alness Race Track, Corentyne, Berbice on Sunday.

It is understood that Delph was mounted on Clear Victory, when the animal bolted, resulting in the jockey falling and breaking his left leg. He was rushed to hospital shortly after.
