Lusignan set to defend East Coast Carib Twenty/20 title

Lusignan are all set to defend their East Coast Carib Twenty/20 cricket  title after an eight-wicket victory over Plaisance in a quarterfinal match at the Lusignan Community Centre Ground last weekend.
Electing to bat first, Plaisance scored 113 for 8 off their allotted 20 overs.

Azam Hannif and Ragindra Nickbarran took two wickets for 21 and 19 runs respectively for Lusignan.
In reply, Somnauth Bharat powered Lusignan to victory in 12 overs as they reached 119 for two.

Bharrat ended on 45 not out while Vishnu Ramjit 22 and Harinarine Hira 24, contributed useful knocks.
In the other quarterfinal match, Lions X1 edged past Strathaven Cricket Club at the Strathaven Ground.
Batting first Strathaven scored 63 all out in 19.3 overs with Chandrapaul Hemraj scoring 22 as  Martin Rajmangal took 2 for 12 for the Lions.

In reply, Lions XI reached 64 for 8 in 18.4 overs with Rajmangal scoring 14.

Gobinram Hemraj and Chandrapaul Hemraj took 2 for 15 and 2 for eight runs respectively.
Lion XI will play Enterprise Busta Cricket Club for a chance to take on the defending champions, Lusignan in the final on April 24 at the Enterprise Ground from 11:00hrs.
