Stag and El Dorado softball tourney enters semi-final stage

Defending champions Floodlights together with Savage, Regal Seniors and Albion are through to the semifinals of the Stag Beer & El Dorado Rum nationwide softball Over-40 limited overs tournament.

In the quarter finals played last week, Floodlights def. Defenders by eight wickets. Defenders, batting first, scored 165 for 9 off 25 overs, O. Chandler 60, S. Mohammed 38. Floodlights replied with 170 for 3 off 21.1 overs with Lalta Gainda 55 not out and Tulsie Sahadeo 51.
And, Savage defeated Max Masters by six  wickets.

Max Masters  scored 226 for 5 off 25 overs with  Danny Mohanram  slamming 104. Savage replied with 231 for 5 off 23.4 overs with Lakehram Barlow 73 not out and Malo Malone 57.

Regal Seniors then defeated Industry Super Kings by 32 runs. Regal Seniors scored 132 for 8 off 25 overs with Troy Kippings 38.

T. Persaud captured 3-16. Industry Super Kings in reply were dismissed for 140 with Ishwar Persaud topscoring with 61.

Amarnauth Boodhoo grabbed 6-9.  Albion also won  scoring a 10 wicket triumph over Success Masters.

Success Master, batting first, scored  86 all out as Richard Kellowan bagged 5-18. Albion in reply reached 87 without loss off 8.3 overs, Veerapen Moonsammy scoring an unbeaten 73.
