Centuries for Campbell, Brathwaite as Windies dominate USA

BROWARD COUNTY, Florida, CMC – Aggressive Jamaican opener John Campbell hammered a scintillating century as West Indies Under-19s crushed the United States Under-19 by 268 runs in their second match of their tour here Sunday.
The 17-year-old left-hander cracked a superb 154 from 134 balls to propel the tourists to 339 for four off their 50 overs.

Playing at the Broward County Stadium, he blasted away at the bowling and was supported by captain Kraigg Brathwaite who stroked 53 from 75 balls, and Ramon Senior who carved out a 44-ball 42.
Kyle Mayers then captured three for 13 with his medium pace and left-arm spinner Kavem Hodge, two for 14, as the hosts were sent tumbling for 71 off 28.1 overs.

In Saturday’s first match, the Windies Under-19s came away with a bruising 215-run victory at the same venue.

Batting first, the Young Windies piled up 278 for eight off their 50 overs with Brathwaite reeling off an unbeaten 122 from 148 balls, with two fours and a six.
Sunil Ambris stroked 67 from 73 balls while Hammad Shahid led the US with three for 58.
The hosts then perished for a woeful 63 with Mayers claiming five for 17.
