Curtain comes down on GT&T fastball tourney tonight

Adam’s Rockers will clash with BK International Western Tigers A while Pele Gold will be looking to strike against Bakewell Topp XX A in the semi finals of the Guyana Telephone & Telegraph (GT&T) Fastball tournament at the Guyana National Stadium ground, Providence, tonight.

In the quarter-finals,Adam’s Rockers made light work of West Demerara United, beating them 4-1. Colwin David and Ralston Fraser scored in the 8th and 19th minutes while Darrel George netted in the 29th minute with the blue ball, which is equivalent to two goals.

West Demerara United’s Kellon Belgrave scored his team’s consolation goal in 13th minute.
Bakewell Topp XX A beat Amelia’s Ward United A 2-0 with Keon Sears scoring in the 29th minute with the blue ball. BK International Western Tigers A defeated the Pioneers 2-1; Jorrel Tyrell scored in the 13th minute with the blue ball while Lindy Johnson scored in the fifth minute for Pioneers.

In the final game of the night Pele Gold’s Kerwyn Benjamin scored with the blue ball in the 28th minute against West Front Road, whose scoreline was bare.

Meanwhile, the female semis will kick off this afternoon at the Stadium from 15:00 hours with Linden Star Girls playing Solid Gold of Bartica while the Lethem Eagles are looking to soar against Georgetown’s Trophy Stall All Stars.
