Mir in charge again for Windies tour

LAHORE, Pakistan, CMC – Regular captain Sana Mir will lead an experienced 14-member Pakistan side on the upcoming tour of the Caribbean.

Mir, a top order batsman who also bowls right-arm leg-spin, will be in charge of a side which has retained the core of the players from the Quadrangular series in Sri Lanka earlier this year.

The 25-year-old, who has led the side for the last year, has played 40 One-Day Internationals and 14 Twenty20 Internationals.
Selectors have included experienced opener Javeria Khan and impressive seamer Asmavia Iqbal for the trip.

Pakistan face hosts West Indies in four ODIs and four T20Is in a tour running from August 28 to September 11.

Pakistan last met West Indies in the ICC Women’s Challenge in South Africa last October, losing to the Caribbean side by 93 runs.
