Rita Heikens wins King’s Jewellery World Medal Play tourney

Rita Heikens was unstoppable in last weekend’s King’s Jewellery World Medal Play Golf Tournament at the Lusignan Golf Club.

Heikens, a consistent player, shot a net 64 to win the annual classic which attracted 38 golfers.

Robert Hanoman copped the second position with a net 68 while third place went to Vijay Deo with a net 69.

Mohanlall “Santo” Dinnanauth had the Best Gross while Bholawram Deo was Nearest to the Pin.

Secretary of the Lusignan Golf Club, William Walker, expressed gratitude to King’s Jewellery World for its  continued sponsorship.

Walker, who won last year’s tournament and walked away with Oakley sunglasses among other prizes, said that the LGC was looking forward to a long and fruitful partnership with the local jewellers.

Marisa Greene-Basoo, who represented King’s Jewellery World, assisted with in the presentation of prizes.
