Cadogan spearheads Robb Street Strikers to victory

Neville Cadogan was in fine form Thursday night as he spearheaded Robb Street Strikers to a comfortable win over YK6 and Strikers as the Wild Bunch, 27-team dominoes competition continued at the Strikers Sports Club Meadowbrook Drive. Cadogan marked the maximum 18 games and also shared a love and, with support from Dennis Garnett who also scored 18 games, helped Robb Street Strikers run out comfortable winners with 92 games with Strikers on 68 and Yk6 in the cellar on 61.

Skipper Mikey Smartt and Ricardo Rankin supported with 16 and 15 games respectively for the winners.

For second placed Strikers David Patterson scored 15 games, Edmund Sammy 14 and Roderick Harry 12 while Vanroy Alfred scored 14 games for YK6.

In the second match of the night one of the tournament favourites Brazil with 77 games edged out Masters 74 and F&H Supreme in the cellar on 60.

Guest player for Masters former Caribbean table tennis singles champion Sydney Christophe along with national table tennis coaches Linden Johnson Ecliffe Cooblall,Ayube Khan and Joel Wilburg were among the top players for Masters.

Meanwhile, organizer of the tournament Mark `Jumbie’ Wiltshire, is requesting all team captains report to the Wild Bunch venue, Campbell and Da Silva Streets, Newtown Kitty,  today for the draw which is scheduled for 4pm while all the East Coast teams are requested to be at Lorna’s, Graham Street, Plaisance. There will also be a Wild Bunch King and Queen 12-team dominoes competition beginning at 2pm today.
