Berbice Under-19 girls fail to show up for trials

Twenty-seven female Under-19 cricketers were scheduled to report for trials yesterday at the Demerara Cri, but only 14 players were present with the Berbice delegation being noticeably absent.

Chairman of selectors Nazimul Drepaul when contacted said he hoped that the Berbice girls show up today.

A Trinidad Women’s Under-19 cricket team will be touring Guyana from September 9-12 and will play on September 10 and 11 2011.

The Trinidad squad reads: Tinesha Cudjoe (Captain), Rackeal Bissoon, Crystal Hanslal, Kerdisha Benito, Khadijah Rahim, Katrice Hernandez, Reniece Boyce, Shanice Pascall, Sharnella Townsend, Chantal Emmanuel, Kamara Ragoobar,  Karishma Ramdeo and Tramaine Edwards.
