Today’s scheduled Georgetown Turf Club horse race meet which was scheduled for Mocha Arcadia has been postponed, one of the organizers said yesterday.
A new date has not been set for the event.
Some seven races were to be held at the East Bank Demerara venue as the organizers attempted to take the sport to newer if not greener pastures.
Over 55 horses had registered for today’s event which was sponsored by a number of businesses including
Banks DIH, VD Auto Sale, Hotel Tower, Agri Parts of Mandela Avenue, Sanjay’s Jewelry, Jumbo Jet and BK International.
