Back Circle is De Greatest

A helmet-trick from Daniel Favourite propelled Back Circle to a 5-2 win over West Front Road to be crowned 2011 Guinness In Da Street champions Friday night at the National Park.

Favourite struck in the eighth, 11th, 18th and 26th minutes while Dexter `Dribbler’ Bentick scored in the 23 minute as Back Circle waltzed away with the $500,000 fist prize.

West Front Road’s goals came off the boots of Michael Oie in the 20th minute and Hubert Pedro who scored some eight minutes later.

In the third placed play off Alexander Village edged out Island All Star by two goals to one.

Back Circle’s skipper Dexter `Dribbler’ Bentick receives the first place trophy from Banks DIH representative Frederick Henry following Friday night’s victory in the final of the Guinness Greatest In Da Streets football tournament.

Alexander Village goal scorer was Shem Porter who scored a double, netting in the 23rd and 28th minutes while Devon Porter pulled one back for Island All Star.

In the exhibition segment of the competition, Guinness Bar edged Upper Level Barber Shop 1-0 with Dennis Edwards, the lone goal scorer while Clippers Barber Shop clipped the Media team 3-1 for third place.

Jermaine White netted a hat-trick for Clippers scoring in the sixth, eighth, and 23rd minutes while Chris Camacho was the lone goal scorer for the Media team.
