Jam Zone Masters’ Cup winners receive prizes

The Universal DVD Berbice Titans, without any overseas internationals and urged on by a sellout crowd,  recently defeated the Gizmos & Gadgets Georgetown Pitbulls in the final to maintain their supremacy of local T20 cricket.

The Royston Crandon-led Berbice side, which included Test leg-spinner Davendra Bishoo and T20 hitter Jonathon Foo won the $2 million first prize while the Pitbulls had to settle for the runner-up prize of $1 million in the Hits and Jams sponsored tournament.

A Hits & Jams Super Stars team boasting Chris Gayle and Dwayne Bravo, defeated New Line Cavaliers in the third place play-off to clinch the $400,000 third prize.

On Thursday evening, the teams were presented with their prize money at the Georgetown Club at a Jam Zone ‘Black Tie Affair’ which included dinner and an auction for charity.
