The Bartica Football Association (BFA) Division One Football League kicked off September 18 with six teams Beacons, Rising Stars, Wolves United, Milballers, Potaro Strikers and Rivers View F.C competing.
In the opening game Wolves received a walkover from Potaro Strikers owing to a breakdown in arrangements for uniforms
