The Guyana Music Teachers’ Association annual event ‘Musicians on Stage’ is set for Sunday, July 3 at the National Cultural Centre at 3 pm.
As is customary, there will be performances by the students who gained distinctions at this year’s Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) examinations. They will be joined by winners of the recently held Guyana Musical Arts Festival, the National School of Dance and the Guyana Police Force Band.
Dr Joycelynne Loncke, who once played at that concert, will present trophies to the ABRSM students.
Tickets for Musicians on Stage 2011 cost $800 for adults and $400 for children and are available at the National Cultural Centre and Dewars’ Music School, 221 Charlotte Street, Bourda.
