Guyana Fashion Weekend (GFW) will this tomorrow meld fashion designing and the performing arts in an event titled ‘Great Expectations’ at the Princess Hotel.
According to a press release from GFW, the show which starts at 8 pm, will includes excerpts of ‘Theatrical Spectacular’ and veteran theatre personality Russell Lancaster has joined the GFW executive to provide the expertise with this.
The release stated that ‘Great Expectations’ will include vocal renditions, choreographed movements, oratorical messages and eclectic fashions. It will include 90 models who have been put through their paces by Richard Young, Yaphet Jackman, Kelton Jennings of Unique dancers and drummer Deo Persaud. Top models Lyn Medford and Jamain Victor will also be featured.
Meanwhile, the release said, plans and rehearsals for GFW continue. A cocktail briefing titled ‘Fashion Forward’ was held last evening at Duke Lodge.
