More GT&T cables vandalised

Telephone and other telecommunication services for thousands of customers around central Georgetown have been repeatedly disrupted over the past weeks as a result of what seems to be organized rampant vandalism, GT&T said today.

Regent St building gutted

A morning fire of unknown origin yesterday flattened a building at the corner of Regent and Wellington streets, destroying six businesses and leaving millions of dollars in losses and several dozen persons jobless.
