Diamond accident claims life of Soesdyke man

The police say they are conducting investigations into a fatal accident that occurred at about 1135h today on the Diamond Public Road, EBD, and which resulted in the death of Doran Keith James, 23 years, of  Adventure, Soesdyke/Linden Highway and injuries to Raganauth Mohabir.

Permission granted for Red Thread, AFC procession

The Guyana Police Force is informing the general public that approval has been given for the Alliance For Change (AFC) and Red Thread organisations to hold a procession tomorrow Friday October 12, 2012, commencing at 1530h in Georgetown The procession will move off from the junction of Hadfield and John streets and proceed east along Hadfield Street, north into Winter Place, west along Brickdam and culminate at the junction of Brickdam and Avenue of the Republic.
