At the completion of the competition which was also staged in Linden and Georgetown earlier this year, president of GBA, Steve Ninvalle thanked DDL for sponsorship of the events and also mentioned that he hopes the partnership continues in the years to come.

“The Guyana Boxing Association would like to say a heartfelt thank you to DDL for making these tournaments possible” said Ninvalle. “This is the third for the year and we do expect that in 2013 that DDL will partner with us again because it is only if we have such partnerships that we can see the pinnacle”.

He added “It is important that we have our nursery in capable hands and we know that support from DDL our boxing at the nursery is in capable hands and I think in the last six months of the year, there has been a lot of development and we will continue to build on this in the coming year”.

DDL’s Sales Manager, Alexis Langhorne stated that the company is pleased to be sponsoring the tournament and promised to continue doing so in the years ahead.

The event was sponsored under the Diamond Mineral Water, Pepsi and Gatorade brands.
