Suspect in custody over Jamaica beheading

(Jamaica Gleaner) The St. Ann police say a suspect is now in police custody in connection with the beheading of 55-year-old Burnett Thomas in Brown’s Town, St. Ann on Sunday.

Head of the St. Ann police division, Senior Superintendent Carlton Wilson, said the suspect was picked up yesterday.

SSP Wilson said another man is also being sought in connection with the murder.

In the meantime, he is again appealing for persons with information on the murder of the elderly man to call 119, 811 or 311.

The burnt, headless body of Thomas was found at his house on Lincoln Road yesterday.

The police say the body also had stab wounds.
