Man charged for murder at Bajan football game

(Barbados Nation) Police have charged a man for the murder of Damien Mitchell at Gully Hill, Carrington Village, St Michael.

Stephon Deaigo Miller, 20, of 3rd Avenue Nurse Land, Tweedside Road St. Michael has been arrested and charged for murdering Mitchell on January 1, 2012.

He has also been charged for using a firearm while committing an indictable offence, illegal possession of a firearm, violent disorder and discharging a firearm in a public place.

Two others have also been slapped with charges in connection with the Gully Hill incident.

According to police, Nico Akeem Rayside, 19, of Hinds Gap, Halls Road, St. Michael, who was shot and injured on the January 1, was released from hospital and has been arrested and charged for wounding, violent disorder, illegal possession of a firearm and for using a firearm while committing an indictable office

Police said a 15-year-old male of Halls Road, St. Michael was also arrested and charged for incitement in Gully Hill, Carrington Village.
