Dr Prem Misir appointed Professor in Public Health at UK university

The Professorial and Readership Committee of the University of Central Lancashire in England has appointed UG Pro-Chancellor Dr Prem Misir as Professor in Public Health.

According to a press release, “In addition to his research and publications, the Committee recognises and supports Misir’s continuing engagement with the University of Central Lancashire, and the Head of the School and Misir will soon determine the modus operandi to enhance this engagement.”

Misir is the holder of a Ph.D (University of Hull), MPH (University of Manchester), M.Phil (University of Surrey), BSc (Honours) (Queen’s University of Belfast (with Postdoctoral work in Public Health at Columbia University and he has been the Pro-Chancellor of the University of Guyana (UG) since 2003.
