“I been doing my chores out there as usual, I does do all my gardening, weed and clean and everything and this guy come out of nowhere,” he said.

Geddes said he wrestled with his attacker for a brief period before he was struck to the head with a weapon and became dizzy. However, during the physical confrontation, the bandit’s shirt came off. This was handed over to the police, according to Geddes.

The music icon told this newspaper that his two chains, one of which carried a steel pan pendant, were ripped from his neck and the man escaped. Geddes was unable to estimate the cost of his jewellery but said it was well over $100,000.
