The police say they are investigating a fatal accident that occurred at about 1025h. today at Cottage, Mahaicony, ECD, and which resulted in the death of pedal cyclist Rajendranauth Rambinjan, 50 years of Perseverance, Mahaicony.
Investigations, police say, revealed that the driver of motor car PGG 751 was driving along the roadway when it is alleged that the pedal cyclist attempted to cross the road and was struck down by the vehicle. He was pronounced DOA at the GPHC.
The driver is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
