CIOG gets Qurans, religious calendars for free distribution

Through the kind courtesy of AON Inter-national Inc, Miami, USA, the Central Islamic Organisation of Guyana (CIOG) received more than 5,000 copies of the Holy Quran in English in both large and pocket-size editions, during 2011 and at the beginning of this year.

These Qurans are distributed to Muslims and non-Muslims free of charge, the CIOG said in a press release.
In addition, 20,000 religious calendars for 2012 containing the Islamic dates, information about Islam and Muslims in Guyana were printed by AON, International, USA for free distribution.

The CIOG and the Guyanese people have expressed sincere thanks to the chairman and directors of AON International for the generous donations, the release concluded.
